A little installation pr0n from GalleriV58
I just can’t shut up about this one. My gallery just informed me that “Time Doesn’t Give A Shit” (160x200cm) was sold - making it the biggest single piece I’ve sold so far!! (actually it’s the biggest painting I’ve made… yet) WOOHOO!!!
There’s really something oddly comforting and satisfying about (partly) painting over weeks worth of work with paint so opaque & covering it takes but a single brushstroke to make things disappear…..
And only I know what’s underneath…
Aaaand here it is - my piece “Contemplation” inspired by the painting “Two Men Contemplating The Moon” by Caspar David Friedrich! It will be shown at the group show “REmantics” 7th - 16th March 2014 at Galleri V58, Århus, Denmark.
The exhibition features works from various contemporary artists inspired by original pieces from the Romantic Era - as the whole city is celebrating the “Festival of the Century” a biannual historic festival that is all about the Romantic Era this time!
Empty Kingdom did a feature on my work on their site earlier this week. Thank you for that!
Interpretative work for a group show…..
